Biography

Robert Rorex received a BA in English from Hendrix College, an MFA in studio art from the University of Arkansas, and MA and PhD degrees in Chinese art and archaeology from Princeton University. He teaches courses on the history of Chinese and Japanese art. Rorex's publications include studies of Chinese narrative painting, landscape painting, and archaeological discoveries in China. Among his publications are articles on such contemporary artists as Chunghi Choo and Chuck Hindes and a book, The Great Seen in Small: Researches into 17th-Century Chinese Albums of Copies After Song and Yuan Paintings (in progress).
