Biography
Eric Dean received a BA from the University of Wisconsin in 1982 and an MFA in photography from Ohio University in 1987. Eric has worked at the Kohler Art Center, Iowa State University, and the University of Michigan before coming to the University of Iowa in 1998. Eric has received numerous grants and awards for the development of campus-wide digital image libraries including the President's Award for Technology Innovation in 2003 and a Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust Grant. Eric is currently serving on the Academic Technologies Advisory Committee and is a member of the e-Research Core Committee which has helped draft the ITS Review and the ITS Strategic Plan. Eric is also a working artist with a national exhibition record making photographs of the engineered Midwestern landscape.
