Biography
Benjamin Anzelc received a B.S.Ed in Art Education from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb IL. He has also earned a MA in Drawing/Painting from Northern Illinois University. Currently, he is the Lab Supervisor and an Adjunct Instructor in the Metal Arts/Jewelry area. He is primarily responsible for safety, maintenance, materials and processes in Metal Arts. Ben has been a high school art teacher at Elgin High School in Elgin Illinois and the Berkshire School in Sheffield, Massachusetts for several years. He was named Cannon Art Educator of the Year and has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions. Ben has been integral in the rapid recovery and relocation of the School of Art/Art History due to the recent flood. His leadership in regard to crafting safety standards and improved practices has also been invaluable to the School of Art. Ben has received many accolades because of his outstanding performance and lasting contributions to the School of Art and Art History. Most recently, he has been the recipient of the I.O.W.A. (Improving Our Workplace Award).
