 | Brenda Longfellow received a B.A. in art history from the University of Puget Sound, an M.A. in art history from the University of Washington, and a Ph.D. in classical art and archaeology from the University of Michigan. Her articles include "A Gendered Space? Location and Function of Room 5 in the Villa of the Mysteries" and "Liber and Venus in the Villa of the Mysteries" in The Villa of the Mysteries in Pompeii: Ancient Ritual, Modern Muse. Her current research focuses on the monumental civic fountains associated with ancient Roman emperors. Longfellow teaches courses on Egyptian, Greek, and Roman art.
